New R/C Hovercraft Kit
BadEnglish Engineering is thinking of possibly creating a kit for a 1/2a sized hovercraft. A functional prototype has already been created and tested.
Here are some basic specifications for the hovercraft and kit:
Powered by a Cox .049 external fuel tank control line engine
2 channel remote control operation
The kit comes with the complete instructions, plans and all balsa and plywood parts (pre-cut)
Build time of approximately 8 hours or less for experienced builders
Estimated kit price of $25 (not finalized)
Approximately $100 to $150 (depending on the end user's radio, engine, etc... choice) to build the hovercraft ready to run with all necessary accessories (this price includes the price of the kit)
Requires only tools most modelers already own
Estimated top speed of 15mph+ (depending on engine/propeller combination)
Runs on concrete, asphalt, snow, ice and most other flat surfaces
This kit could be fully completed and ready to ship within 2 to 4 weeks if there is enough interest. We would like to hear what you think so feel free to comment or ask questions.
Thanks,
BadEnglish Engineering
