SWB Mamba fuel consumption, etc
Hello! Mambas have shipped!!!
To answer some common questions:
Many of our engines do make use of radial inflow turbines. Radial inflow turbines are used in applications where low specific fuel consumption is required, due to the inherently higher efficiencies attained with radial inflow versus axial turbines in the same smaller size category.
Regarding Mamba fuel consumption... in testing the Mamba sipped 4.73 oz/min at 120,000 RPM (80% speed - cruise) and 6.76 oz/min at 150,000 RPM (100% speed - max. thrust). The Mamba was making 11.4 lb of thrust at 150,000 during this test.
Any other questions, feel free to drop us an email.
Thanks!
