If it's not put together I would build a new fuse. The wings and such are pretty light but the fuse is laminated on both sides with plywood. It would be pretty easy to build a new fuse with construction methods similar to a morris plane. If its all together take the covering off of the fuse and get the ole dremmel out and make some sawdust fly. Let us know what you come up with, and good luck!

Well the covering on those isn't great. Best I remember it wrinkles pretty badly in the sun and also gets brittle over time. If it were mine I would recover it, with Ultracote, but thats totally up to you. The other advantage of recovering is that while its uncovered, it would give you a chance to go over the glue joints with this ca, and inspect stuff.

I stripped all the covering off mine and used a power sander to reduce the thickness of the ply fuse sides. Also used a dremel to open up the lightening holes and add some new ones. Also found out that monokote is lighter than that stickyback arf covering, that alone was worth 2 or 3 ounces if I remember right.

4.5 lb G200 Fun Tiger
Hi
I removed the covering and recovered it . Removed some of the plywood the fus. , uses a drum sander on a dremmel. Re-glued the entire structure with ca . Modified aileron's tips .
I did put a strip od carbon fiber along the horizontal stab hinge line top and bottom.I was happy with the results . I had no structural failures of any kind. I put a Irvine 46 on it with a 11X4 APC prop .
Now with a computer radio it flys very well and it's a lot of fun . It is good .
Dry weight is 4.5 lb
