It is time to get this thing started, On Monday 7/28/03 a call was made to Morris Hobbies and an order was placed for 7 Sledge short kits. Alright I’ll get busy this weekend, Thursday comes and goes and no BROWN truck has made it to the hanger yet, Fri morning call goes out to Lone-Star I have got to get busy.
After order is placed I think to myself hmmmm I better get a call out to Debbie at Morris and see if I can get a tracking # for the shipment. Morris say’s Yea I can do that for you. (cool) The order shows being shipped from Houston to Tulsa Scanned in to Tulsa on 7/31/03 Thursday then it went to OHIO. OHIO!!! What in the h_ll is it doing in Ohio I only live 30miles from Tulsa, Debbie says Let me make some calls I’ll tell them you really need your package today. Anyway this just a small setback I can still get started with the kit I already have,(It yours fo sure Ulf) but the big BROWN has let me down. Morris works very hard to help.

B bill...the exact same thing happened to me on a tower order...waited waited waited...finally called tower.they made some calls...good news...scanned in in jacksonville! wow im gunna get it today....rush home, sit on porch waiting for mr brown,7 pm no show..call ups they confirm its gunna be here tonite by 8...go back to porch drink more beers no mr brown.figure its gotta get here next day...get busy cant call but finally get home late....no mr brown. call ups next day ask them to "locate my package" they tell me good news it was scanned in in Champlain, Ill. today you should have it tomorrow. when I told him it had been scanned in in jacksonville fl (only 30 min away from me !) 2 days ago, he said yes it was...they had no explanitation. i finally did get it 2 days later.
funny thing is, that order was an ultra sport and it was about the time i discovered R.C.U. and the pro bros...(ironically while waiting on ups) got so excited about 3D and profiles i never did finish the thing!

Thanks Hacker, The sad part is I wrk only 2 miles from the Tulsa main terminal for the big Brown.

Bizarro Bill, good luck on project sledge. Say, you still did not tell me what my cut was on this for the design, OK just harrassing you. Actually I am glad someone has taken the initiative to do this. Big Brown will get it straight and keep us posted on your progress. BTW, are you thinking you can have these 7 done by Nashville Pro bro? That would be an accomplishment. If you do all seven you will have built 2 more that I have. Jeff Williams

Yes Jeff this is my new 2nd Job for about 5 weeks But the good news is I at least get to something I really like and will pave the way for pilgrimage to Nashville.

Well my drama with shipping has finally played out after 2 more non delivery's ( actually it was delivered on Mon to the wrong place ) I finally just went and got it myself I should have drove down to Houston and flew with Ulf Sun, and went by Morris on Mon One correction I need to make, The crappy service came from DHL not UPS.

I like it that Bill put even a sign with my name on it. This way it can get used to my name and will recognize it's master right when I take her into my arms. LOL

Bill, don't worry about the other 6 Sledges. Just build this one good, strong and straight and take your time.

Bill, will you install tank in wing ? I normally like my profiles to have the tank external. Possible with the Sledge ?

Ulf, You will be able to do it either way. I put it in the wing of my Top Caps but am going to mount mine on the outside.

Bill, don't tell me you are also building one for Jim ? Just kidding. Great to see that you will have one too. I guess we don't have to ask what motor you will use. Something tells me that it will be either a ST 45 or 51. I will drop me good ole OS46FX in it.

I would bet my right arm, that Propnut will use a ST45, on it.
