Man, same here. I just got the sledge short kit and started it today. Goes together pretty fast but ran out of 1/4"x1/4" balsa sticks. I thought the tapered wing would be tricky for me, but the directions explain things pretty well. It has nice color photos to help also. I have a Royal 46 thats going on the Sledge also. I am using the lightest balsa that i found at my LHS, some CF reinforcement to help with lightening holes i plan on cutting in, and some CF landing gear, and hopefully it will come out on the light end of the spectrum.

3dfreak, I think scole gave an excellent description. I would highly recommend not, yes I did say not, use that 60 size engine. They put out to much vibration I think, beside that 46 should be enough. Jeff W.

You're gonna love this kit... goes together super easy... the lazer cut parts are cut perfectly.... I used 1/4 x 1 for the leading edge of the wing... but I think I'll try the 3/4" tri stock on my next one...

Do you think a peice of 5/16" x 1" would work better than the 1/4" x 1"? I read about the problems that other people have with the not so round LE's so i thought this might fix that problem.

The 5/16" would give you a little more meat to make a rounder leading edge...

The 1/4" works fine..... Just not as pretty as something with a little more meat would be... No big... I dont' thing it will affect flight performance at all....
