Engine for Morris the Knife
Just go with the OS .46 FX since you already have it and put the $13 Tower muffler already mentioned on it. You should have plenty of power for a 5 lb plane.
I Just bought 2 Irvine .53 s from Just Engines. Cost was about $96 US each with shipping and insurance. One is for a buddy. You save a little on shipping this way but not that much since they require insurance for multiple engine shipments and that eats up the shipping credit for orders of over 100 GBP. The sale on these engines is just about over so order now or forever hold your peace.

46 FX power without baffle
I tried removing the baffle from the os muffler and it made a difference . Now that I have about a gallon of fuel through the engine it is running really well. I am hovering the 5 lb Knife at about 3/4 throttle on 10% fuel.
I have a tower muffler and some various props on the way for more experimenting.
The .46FX is fine for the knife (5.0 lb) just don't use the stock muffler.
Thanks for the tips.

BTW, can anyone recommend a prop for this plane and engine combo. In the manual it says to stay below a 6 pitch prop. I was thinking the APC 13x4W but I don't know if the Irvine can take it.
