Hi
I would like to share my experience with the SPA3D. I am a fun fly fanatic and I own a few fun flyes such as ultimate bipe, limbo dancer, hovering cobra, stick it, PBF to name some. Recently I read abot the SPA3D and decided to give it a shot and started building it. Building was extremelly straight forward as the intructions and plans provided all info needed to build one. Installed standar radio gear all around and mounted a 46fx with mousse can muffler. Only modification i did was that I used plywood for motor mount.
Flight performance:
This probably is my BEST fun fly. Hovering is very easy, probably the easist plane to hover (following the PBF). Harrier are also very easy as well as flat spins. I got to do with this plane something I always wanted but never had the guts to do so, ... landing from a flat spin or roto landing. And YES, once it lands from a flat spin, the engine is still running, align it and take off again. Simply awesome, did it several times in a row and never got the engine to quit. At first, it was windy and it was kind of hard to get it to land in the runnaway. Once I got the hang of the wind, i could land it from a flat spin all day long. Also, once I understood well how to enter a flat spin with this plane, I could enter it at a lower altitude, making it easier to land in the runnaway.I love my spa3d. I think every fun flyer should get one.
