Default .60 size PBF?

Has anyone had any luck with a .60 size PBF? I have a few HB .61's laying around and was wondering what to do with 'em.

standard pbf is 24" x 24".

make one that is 36" x 36" and i think it will be great, maybe even better than the small one for hovering

someone should try a 90 size. 4x4 or 5x5. now that would be some fun in your face hovering

My nephew scaled up a PBF to 36x36 and powered it with a TT 61. It wasn't very maneuverable, but it looked great on super slow flybys.

There's a photo of his Super PBF in the "Build Your Own PBF" thread at post #279.

I had a 56" foam PBF, flew very "scale" like! It only had a .50 on it, but it was like a glider. As a matter of fact, I think I could catch a thermal with it!

I built and sold many sizes this year and I have found the perfect engines for larger sizes are as follows: 30 X 30 = OS32SX or the Magnum 36
: 36 X 36 = OS46FX or the Irvine 39 both using 4mil coro.
We use the Macs tuned system for all of our extreme PBF action. To use the larger engine that you are talking about, I would probably concider using the 11mil coro and though the weight WILL increase so shall the stiffness of the plane and you will save some $$$ on not having to use so many carbon rods to stiffen up the plane. I would go with a 36 X 36 with this material. Hope this helps. Bender
