I can't think of much. As the plane stands it's capable of anything with no airframe mods. Some people have been making the channel that runs through the fuse bigger so the extensions can go through easier, but I did not have a problem getting mine through the hole. I would probably make the hatches out of a thin light ply if I build another, after 100+ flights my hatches are getting warped and lifting up. OR just make sure they are sealed up good when you put them on the plane.

The only change I'm making to mine is I'm adding some 3/8" balsa in the canopy area. I was worried about the possibility of crushing the sheeting when I pick up the plane. A few pieces of light 3/8 to fill the spaces and I feel more comfortable. Added maybe 4 grams to the airframe.

I agree with the above no structural changes it is strong as it is. I am going to put the hatches and the switch on the top of the wing, and I have seen one with the aileron servos on top of the wing to keep the goo off of them.

Beauty!
A friend of mine has one on the building board right now! It looks mighty fun to build! and structure does look heavy duty. Although i would like to use the aluminum kind of landing gear instead of the wire gear....Now i'm just pondering on what color scheme to use!
Thinking bout some transparent violet and white maybe hmmm..... we'll see!

You should be able to do it in 2 weeks. I did mine in 2 1/2 weeks and worked only in the evenings for a couple hours. Everthing seemed to work well with no mods.
Just flew mine for the first time yesterday. Flew well hardly any trim needed. Difficult to describe its performance as of yet as there was hardly any visibility at 6:00 yesterday afternoon and in about 15-20 mph wind. Can't believe i took it up in the first place. Only real point learned last night, wind knocks that thing around like a monky on crack!!!
What size tank are you guys running with the OMP 540? I have a 6 oz and don't get much flight time with a TT .46 and MCP.

I use a 6 oz. tank with an O.S. .46 and a tower hobbies muffler. I used to have my timer set for 8 minutes but I was coming in on fumes. So now I fly for seven. Little more time in case someone is slow to clear the runway...
