RE: <span class=
I can tell you this.....
It's an arf that builds extremely easy and has all the bells and whistles. The servos are mounted in the tail, throttle servo is mounted in the nose, servo wires are routed through the body. It looks great too.
Flying.....
I thought I was hoping for too much but I wanted this plane to fly as well or better than some of my favorites. I was blown away with how it handles. With the CG at 4.9 inches it is rock solid in a hover. You stick there and it will stay. It Knife edges like my Gee Whiz Bee. Roll it over and it just takes a whisper of rudder. KE loops as well. Remember this is the first flight of the plane. I was really amazed at how it did an elevator. Very solid with no wing rock at all. You can bring it in at high alpha and drag the tail wheel down the run way. I love this plane as much as any I have had to date. I'm really excited about it as well.

I talked to Billy, this is what he said about this bird:
The E powered Switch Blade is 82 ounces. The price is $99 and it rocks glow or e powered but the AXI 4130 is blows away the glow version. You can see for yourself on the video. It's a lot of plane for that money. Watch it hold that high alpha KE when it turns 180 degrees and watch it blast out of the hover. It has so much power it's like flying a foamy.

RE: <span class=
it appears from your involvement you are the pro-file expert and for us ameatures, your input is valued. i have this switch blade from hobby-lobby and the directions do not list a CG! i see from your post that you are using 4.9 inches from the leading edge of the wing? i called hobby lobby and they recommended a CG at the front of the reciever door which is 4 inches back. just wondering if you might clarify a good starting point.

RE: hobby lobby switch blade?
For starting CG, I usually take 27% - 30% of the rood cord (inc aileron's) and go from there. For instance, on the Mojo, the root cord is 18.25". Multiply by .3 and you get roughly 5 1/2". That's a pretty good place to start for agressive 3d. If you want to start out a little more conservatively, take 18.25 x .27 and you get almost 5".

Both my buddy and I grabbed one of these when they were on sale for 69 bucks. It is a great flying bird. We both put webra 50's on it and they are plenty! I recommend you put the CG at 5.25". Only complaint that I have is the covering is very susceptable to fuel easily finding seams etc. Try to divert as much exhaust away from airframe as possible!! Other than that, it is great bird.

RE: hobby lobby switch blade?
guess i'll try that 5.25 cg,,,,,,,at 4.9 it is a hovering machine,,,,being a minor in skills at 3d, it really sits there in a over until YOU move,,,,,i had a TT 2stroke 60 that needed a home and it is excellent.
wondering why knife edges fly toward the belly,,,,,,lot of elevator to bring it back in line,,,anyone with suggestions?
