Default Mini Gee Bee

Anybody flying the little electric mini gee bee that is now distributed by Hobby Lobby ?
http://www.hobby-lobby.com/minigeebee.htm

If not, and you need a new addiction, then this baby is for you. It will fly just awesome and only weighs around 7 oz. Goes together in a couple of hours and can be flown indoors or outdoors. Pure fun. It will hover and torque roll all day long and have unlimited performance for about 10 minutes with a PJS 300 and 2S1P 700 mah lithium polymer batteries. I even take mine to work and fly it at lunch right in front of my office or inside the warehouse if the wind is to much. It does fly in windy conditions pretty good though, and I normally like to fly it with a little wind since I can lay it on that wind cushion and hover it backward right into my hand.
Just saw the HL add here on RCU and thought I let you guys know that this baby has been my favorite toy for month now, and still is.
Well, I will be on my fourth one (after stressing the other three out) once the new one from Hobby Lobby comes in. Can you say ADDICTION ?
So anybody else enjoying this baby ?

I'm going to chime in here too. I owned and flew this bird before we started carrying it (now you know why we carry it!). Imagine driving to a parking lot or field on your way to work, stepping out of your car and plugging your 1500 2 cell Kokam up, hand launching your Mini Gee Bee and then hovering, torque rolling, flat spinning and everything else for 20 minutes. Then you hover the thing back into your hand, step back into your car and proceed on to work.
This is not your mother's depron foam plane. It is wild or mild. I have been addicted for many months now and I still bring it with me everytime I go out. Now that it's cold I can use it in the gym as well.
This thing rocks.

I really don't see how I could fly mine in windy conditions without rudder.
The rudder is very easy to hook up. Don't let that scare you away and miss the fun.

I have seriously doubts that this would work. The Hacker is just too big fr this little baby. But if you do try it, let us know.

I will try it when the time comes. I mean it powers my Electric 3D thats 20 oz. alright with not much pull out power. Now I will get my new Duralite Batteries for this one.

It will be around the end of January though!!!

Dan

Happy Holidays
