Default Jeff Williams E-sledge

This thing is one bad ***** electric. I have flown a bunch, but none as good as this one. Ricky and I spent today flying the e-sledge and we couldn't get enough. So when I got home I had to do a little indoor TRing.

Ricky has some pics he will post.

This thing excells at the inverted harrier. Harrier point rolls, and much more.

1)Little Jessica liked it.
2,3,4) TRing in my living room during superbowl commercials

Thanks Chuck,

I had to take all the expo out of my radio because I was running a fair amount of beer expo.

Your dog sure puts up with a lot! A good buddy of mine, has a little minature pincher (thinks he weighs 200 lbs though) that tried his best to get ahold of my tail, while hovering close to the ground outside. Wayne you think the extra is nice, weight till you fly the yak! I swear it almost doesn't take any control inputs while TRing!

Jess and I had a great time flying Jeff Williams designed E-Sledge around in the backyard! It is by far the best E-bird that I have flown to date! Great job Jeff!

1:Me in the inverted harrier mode!
2:Jess testing the h20 temp!
3:Jess tree trimming.(it's not as productive as trimming with glow)
4:Jess Inverted Harrier!

Wayne- I can't beleive the extra fly's better than the E-Sledge? That's hard to beleive as good as the E-Sledge flies! They are ton's of fun!

Jeff told me he has made some adjustments to the E-Sledge since I have flown it so you guys are flying a later version I am sure.
When I flew it it was awesome but this Extra I have been flying is the shizzle!!!

It just flat out does everything good!

I prefer the E-Sledge over the Extra but my experience is with both of them in the original form. I just cut out a new E-Sledge last night with the enlarged ailerons. To me the tail is just alot more responsive on the S-Sledge than it is on the Extra but I can see where some might prefer that. I talked to a few that said the E-Sledge was a little too touchy for them.

Hey Jess, maybe I should try that beer expo thing sometime.........I bet it's not recommended for the gass or glow planes though......unless your Ulf

Jess, Cool pics. I'd love to do that during commercials but my wife would kill me!
Brian your right. Jason was flyin the crap out his planes Sat. I liked the repeated waterfalls when the rudder came inches from the floor.
Wayne, congrats on the XFC, I'd like to come and watch but as of now Jeff's Probro is on the same day.
BTW heres on of my favorite indoor shots. It's Nowtorqin flying, and Kirk is the victim.

In that last picture is looks like Haunz is studying it a little to hard. It looks like he might be thinking about catching it for you. Does anybody know the word for "Fetch" in German.

Wayne, I would love to give the extra a try. I think we Memphis Mafia have the plans at our skunk works.(Paul Swany's house)

I have to admit, Paul, Gator, and Matchlesareo work hard on the R and D end. They put stuff in the air FAST. Ricky and I are lazy, we just like to burn gas, or in this case electrons.

Paul is on the tip of the spear as far as getting our group motivated about new stuff. But we finally got him and Gator to get into gas.

Thanks to Jeff for all the love he has sent our way. He puts a bunch of time into this hobby and it shows.

Cool lookin stuff Jess... Glad you got that thing in the air... I'm gonna finish mine tonight.... Did the carbon hold up pretty well in the fuse? Did any of it pop loose?

And get started on that Extra...... Can't wait to torque big gas on the deck!!

All ProBros as a minimum should have these planes.

Brushless powered 12 oz foamy.
.46-72 Glo profile.
28% or larger Gasser

Hey guys, Ive migrated back to the carbon fiber rod method of construction and after all the damage that my plane sustained last night.....and without the first carbon fiber tube problem, I think thats going to be my prefered method from now on. Repairing seperated carbon strips gets to be a real pain in the arse after a while. As a matter of fact I will be reusing the carbon rods from the Yak for my new Sledge.

Has anybody else decided to go back to the rods?

Wayne, I just got my email from Chip Hyde/Planes Plus regarding my new CapX. It should be here sometime this week. That will have my line up complete from 36% down to the 5% foamies. I just have to decide whether Im going for the DA50R in the CapX or the Moki 2.10 that I already own. I really want that DA50R but its hard when you have a Moki 2.10 just sittin on the bench.

Now I need to get busy repairing the 36% that still sits in 2 peices....[:@]

Nice Jammies Jess. Tailspnr, go for the DA50, sell the Moki. Glad everyone is having fun with the E SLedge and extra. I just flew the new Yak 54 this past Saturday, all I can say is sledge and extra make room you have an equal. Also, I want to recognize 3Dreaming as he put more R and D into the E Sledge than I so I have to share honors with him. THanks to all, Jeff W.

Scott,

Heres something to help you decide on why to sell the Moki and get the DA.

You'll save money in the long run on Windex.
