should I get a Burrito?
I'm not extremley experiened with flying, but I can fly a trianing and a sig kavalier. I want a new plane that is very fun to fly and is also very aerobatic. First question: is it possible to get a 3d plane and not fly it 3d for a while when I'm still learning to fly a third plane? I was thinking of doing this, keeping the high rates switch off for a while. Second question: will I be able to fly a burrito? I'm wondering if a burrito is way too much for me. Should I just stick with a tower uproar 40? What does a burrito fly like? Could someone help me???

RE: should I get a Burrito?
Ok Bro.. I have flow a Uproar and the Burrito flys better than the uproar The Burrito can be a very mild and forgiving airplane It can also be a great 3D trainer,, It will also take alot of punishment I have tested this part out many times.. It is a very GOOD Airplane I dont get any discount for saying this either... But I really like mine.. BBill

RE: should I get a Burrito?
My buddy has an uproar. I think that is the most unstable plane I have EVER had my hands on. It is not a 3D plane whatsoever. It just looks like one.
A Burrito is going to be 10x better!
Lastly ... like I tell everyone ... if you want to learn 3D. Buy a flight sim. That way you don't have to worry about a single thing other then hitting the spacebar when you crash.

RE: should I get a Burrito?
If you keep the control throws on low rates till you get used to flying a burrito I doubt you will have much trouble if you can fly your other two planes very well. ie land on the runway. I have not flown the uproar but I have flown a dazzler, very similar designs. The burrito is a much more forgiving plane, and a much more capable plane as well. Plus it is a very strong design, and still remains light weight. Both very good qualities. A burrito or about any profile will "grow" with you. As you get better, bump the rates up, and move the cg back a little. Good luck, and have fun building and flying the burrito!

RE: should I get a Burrito?
Well, what can I add? I too have flown the upraor, Burrito is WAY easier on low settings, and forward-ish CG. If you are very confident with your trainer, you could easily fly the Burrito. I would actually say it's easier in some ways than a trainer. It won't fight you every time you try to turn!!!! Just remember it won't right itself either!!
You also might consider a SPA3D to wet your apetite while you build your Burrito. But then the Burrito builds so fast it might not matter!

Thinks for all your help everyone. I was wondering though, is there a plane like a burrito that isn't so, well, ugly? Also, I already have a spa3d, but I have only flown it for a very small amount when I was not a very super pilot.

Now you've went and insulted the Burrito. Ugly, are you nuts?
Well, don't sweat it. I'll make sure Brother Swany is "out" when you order!!! And I hope you don't think you'll EVER get into the Burrito Brothers! [>:](http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Burrit...guid=139506677) You're banned for LIFE!!!!!!
OK, I'm calm again. [:-]Seriously if you think Burritos are ugly you might not be a profile kinda guy. We have all heard the comments, "Boy that flies great, too bad it's so UGLY!" and "hey, that flies great, can you help me learn to fly my _________ (fill in with fatty name) that way?" By your name (Spitfire) I'm assuming you're into scale. Profiles don't just look un-scale but they fly that way too, which is the point!

You might like the SIG Something Extra. Also better than the Uproar, and capable of fine areobatics. And it has the Looks you would apreciate.

Burrito Ugly?
Mine is in the final stages of being assembled and I think it's the coolest, nicest looking plane in my fleet.
Each to their own, I guess.
SPAD
Ultra Stick 40,
Duro Stick
GP Big Stick 40
electric foamy profile (almost done, have to finish the burrito, and the baby's room first)

Open mouth insert foot! Calling a profile brother's plane ugly is fighting words!
I realize your new, and I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't know, but please don't do it again.
In all seriousness A burrito doesn't look like a scale airplane at all, but they are meant to be a 3-D trainer, and funfly plane! Function over form. If you get one you will love the way it flies even if you don't like they way it looks.

Hey spitfire.... Probably not a good idea to use the "U" word when talking about profiles in this forum.....
You can seen the Burrito at www.swanyshouse.com/burrito/burrito.html
I've got the instruction manual posted there now.

The 3 best flying planes in my book are, 1- Spads "because you can't tear them up".. 2-profiles "they are cool"!!! 3-Lazy Bee's "with some power and control throw's they can do anything you want.....
Just my 2c.....

As Burrito Bros we will take a vote to see if you will be able to get a Burrito...I strongly suggest you write an essay letting us know what came over you right before you used the U word... And how SORRY you really are... I have not seen that many scale planes in the 40 size range that can compete with a profile I wish lots of luck in your quest for such a plane...

Gosh, all this burro talk has got me hot for a combo plate.
Pauly, I am going over to your site to order a burrito right now. I love my Taco soo much, but just wish I had the chance to build it myself.

RE: should I get a Burrito?
Gordo,
This is what happens when it's slow at work. I buy stuff. I dont know what to tell the wife. Joebobs taco showed up week before last, then a box full of balsa, then one from tower, then I came in with a big bag from the LHS, then a reciever and a couple macs headers, and in a few days a burrito. I am going on vacation next week and staying at home. I want a couple projects.
Oh, and a RITA sounds so good about now
