Anyone know how much weight a .25 os fp will be able to hover I am building a foamy yak and am getting a little scared that the weight is to much! I was planning on this plane being fully 3d capable!

My Feedback: (1)
I've got a 25FP on my FF Taco... weight is 2 pounds 9 ounces + 4 ounces of fuel... with a full tank it will hover @ just a little over 1/2 throttle... when it's getting lower on fuel, somewhat less than 1/2 throttle.
Thats with an APC 10-3 prop. Pullout of the hover is pretty good, but it's not a rocket. But it gets the job done.

I wouldn't go over 2 1/2 myself. I've had several 3Ds with .25 fp, .25 sx, and Irvine .25. I feel my Taco with the Irvine is marginal and it's now up to 2#11oz (Many repairs!) I had the fp on a PBF at just over 2# and it was ok, but not a rocket.
