Default Taco 2

Well I finished my Taco 2 and hope to fly it tonight if the wind will dies down.I'm not used to flying that small of a plane and I don't want any suprises.I built it out of all scrap wood and mono-cote that I had lying around. So it is a tad heavy at 2lbs and 12 oz with a os max 25
As I was using scrap mono-cote it's not the best covering job.(and lets face it I suck at covering). If it flys well I want to make the Fat Free my next project.

Hey stratosman.. Nothing to be ashamed of there... That's a nice looking bird!! Outta fly great at that weight! Just make sure she's not tail heavy for the first flights... The Taco is a hand full when it's tail heavy!

I downloaded the plans from pauls site.Very easy to read and to follow.the only thing that I changed other then some wood thickness was I put a carbon rod along the fuse that I had.I thought that it needed a little more stiffness.
Also my cg is about 3/4" behind wing spare.I hope that it is not to far back.I'll let you know how it goes later

Well I flew the Taco 2 Tonight in the wind.Baaad Idea.Tonight I am fixing a broken plane. The cg was back at 3/4" behind the spar.that is too far back in the wind and being tail heavy I could not control it in a landing. It is totally fixable but I know better,It is such a neat little plane I could't wait to fly it. Oh Well......

If you love it set it free,If it doesn't come back,
Maybe you should have charged your battery's
