Default what 's your favorit FF trick

My favorite FF trick is trying to do a horizantol eight while rolling continuously. I like the inverted flat spin but have trouble bringing the aileron stick back to neutral at the right turn. If you attempt low level hovering at our club for a long time you better be there on a week day with just a few flyers or preferrably by yourself.

Default Favorite Fun-Fly Trick!

I like putting the Aeron into an inverted flat spin, holding altitude, then go into a knife edge spin with the fuse horizontal, allowing to gentle lose altitute, then go back into the inverted flat spin, then into a climbing Tornado and do it AGAIN!

With a good head wind, I like to try an hover the Wacky-Bee III in a knife edge, sometimes it will elevator in a knife edge up and down, which is wild to watch!

Do "the wall"

Approach level 10 feet up full throttle, straight and level.
Chop throttle and immeidately pull full up--plane stops immediately..about 15 feet up.
Soon as the plane is vertical, full power and full down. Waterfall back to nose up vertical, then hover. Add left rudder and knife away from the maneuver.

When you get that down, start the whole thing at about 6 feet off the ground.

I never said I invented that move--I saw it on the Aces 1 webpage--a video clip done with their PH3D. Check it out. After some practice it becomes very easy to do. I am sure any really hot funfly could do it.

I'm pretty new but I do a flat spin that has made some old timers come up and talk to me. Right now my personal favorite thing to do is get the Knife in a harrier and then do a snap and stop it in the same position that it started in. No one has come up and said anything to me about it at the field but I'm always impressed!

Hey Wayne,
I see you have a Topcap, 60 size Su-Do-Khoi, and a Something Extra. Of these three which one do you enjoy the most? Which one for hovering? Give us a mini review!

Hey Wayne,
I borrowed your plane when you weren't looking. I've been hovering it in my yard. Let me know when you want it back. That's my little landing strip you see in the picture. I just have to watch out for the combine header when I land.

Top Cap:

Love it. Easily my favorite fun-fly plane. It will do anything and then some. Impossible to get it into something that you cant get it out of fast. Saito .72 or YS .63 should be the only motors allowed on them.
I just ordered a Sledge. Will it be better? Dont know. But, I have heard a lot of really good things about it. Of course I will post here when its done. They should be shipping in a week or so.

.60 sized Su-Do-Khoi

A truley crappy kit. Impossible instructions, marginal wood. Was it worth the effort? Yes. Flies awesome with the Saito 1.20 but the wing loading is higher than the smaller ones and you can feel it in the air. Not as easy to just throw around. Very, very easy to hover though. The heavier weight makes it really stable.

Sig SE

Great kit to build. Fun plane to fly. Will do some 3D. Mainly Hovering, TR's and Harrier's. I built mine stock with no changes to the tail. Its easy enough to do though if you want. I think it needs a bigger rudder with a counterbalance and the inside edge of the elevators needs to be opened up to allow more rudder throw. If the plane is built stock with the stock gear your basically limited to a motor that swings a 12" prop. I have a Webra .50 on mine and it hovers it with no problem. I am using a 12x4

All fun planes that each have their own personality. if I could only have one...............Look at my avatar.

Wayne,
Thanks for the info on the planes. Good job!
Edit photos? Who me? No way. You'd better check your garage or basement to make sure you still have your plane! Hehe

Well, if you get a bigger plane then we'll just have to get a bigger GATOR! Might have to get a crocodile!
