Default OMP Yak RIP

The OMP yak54 is dead. May ir rest in peace. It was the sweetest flying profile i've ever flown and after 13 gallons of glow today in a down on the deck knife edge in pretty windy conditions I gave wrong inputs and she smashed in hard. She will be replaced with a new one soon. No camera was avaialble.

Every time I see one of them half mast US flags for the rest of the month I'll think about it. Sorry dude.

Constrictors Yak is the featured Yak and has been immortalized on the OMP 65" Yak webpage along with some vids. If you would like to drop by to pay your respects, it's on the right side of the webpage. Sorry you can't leave flowers, but in lieu of flowers feel free to grab some APC props or a copy of AFP while you are stopping by.

Sorry again Steve ... From all of us at Team OMP.

Dang Steve....Sorry. I know you enjoyed the heck out of that bird. I am surprised it didn't die in a midair with one of Mr. Seelof's birds [X(][>:]

Yeah, you sure got a bum rap on the midair label!!

The 4 year average gets time compressed when they both happen at ProBros the same season.... I try to space mine out so I don't get a reputation like you!

OMP should send you a new one at reduced cost since they used your's on their website!

C'mon Dion you know you could make that happen for poor ole Constrictor! All the free advertising he has done for you, it's the least you could do! [8D]

It´s a really sad notice. There is always a next plane. And the good news is that you got better with each one.
At least there are vids to remember it. I play them I her honor.

Sorry to hear that Steve, glad you let me fly it though. Also glad it was not me when that happened. BTW, I just bought one over the weekend, it will be ready as soon as I can get some servos and engine ordered.

I had one last year, and one this year, at ProBros. So unless I missed one or two, none in the same season. But I've had probably 15 in my flying career (not counting combat).

By the way, surgery has begun on the yak. Its an awful site peeling the skin from my once beautiful baby. It hurts almost as bad as when i see one of my Herps with a stuck eyecap or diffucult sluff. You can just see the pain. I dont think i ever had a profile that stayed mostly unbanged up for so long. There is a possibilty it may fly again. Hope that coupon doesnt get taken back Dion!

I think the reputation comes from being the hitter not the hittee!
