Default EF edge ballance???

I have the edge together trying to ballance it. tower 46- 3004's- 225 throtle. Battery and rec. where the instructions say. Lateral is right on but CG is showing it needs 2 1/8 oz of lead on tail to get 1 inch behind spar.
How did you all do yours? Also did you ballance upright?
Thanks
Eric

I moved the battery pack to the side of the fuse behind the wing. I used 3M double sided foam tape and cable ties to attach it there. Balances 1 inch behind the spar with a Saito 82 on the nose.

With an OS 46FX it was exactly balanced but I then added 5g to the tail to make it tail heavy. It flies better for 3d like this. You have to see how it flies when the fuel tank is nearly empty cause mine feels tail heavy at the end of each flight due to less fuel. I prefer it this way, but i have to wait till the tank becomes empty. So I added the 5g at the tail.

You can move the batttery back bit by bit to the back but since I am a lazy bugger, I prefered to add a piece of self adhesic lead ( ones used to balance tyres).

Try moving the battery to the trailing edge of the wing. If that is not enough to get the CG where you want it, the battery can be mounted on the fuse, or change to a larger/heavier tail wheel.

I put my battery on the fuse.

Thanks for the help all.
Eric,
thats where mine ended up at also. Does not look as preaty as yours. Just straped it there with tie straps.
If the plane survives long enough then I will make it look better.
Time to finish cooking waffles and bacon so I can go maiden it.

Give us a report when you are done. Dont worry about how it looks, if you aint crashin you aint learning. With that in mind I must really be learning
Even though mine is the ugliest plane I own and up to 5lb 1 oz after repairs it still is my favorite bird!

That thing is a HOOT!!!
Put 2 flights on it today and had a blast even with 15 plus winds.
Waterfalls like crazy. Must have too much rudder in it though. It pitched real bad. Had to just rest on the rudder to maintain KE. Man that thing is powerfull.
The plane is more sensitive than my funtana but high alpha is more stable.
I am impressed with the tower 46. With a apc 12x4 pulled it straight up. Ran like a champ. I never could get it to run right in the 4*40 but on the edge it was great. The only thing I can figure is the tank position in the 4*.
Would still rather have a saito 72 on it. Just because i like 4 strokes.
I might add this is my first profile. Now i see what all this ProBro stuff is about.
Thats it for now. Gotto take the kids swimming.
