Hey everyone,
I was out today wringing out my new TT extra but I could not get it to knife edge. I have about 2" of rudder throw each way with the CG at 4 3/4". I have a .46 LA (yea yea I know) with a Zinger 11 x 4 prop. It does have enough power to maintain a hover but not climb. I'm thinking I need a more rearward CG and more rudder throw. Any help would be great.

have os91fs under the hood, taller lite weight wheels, changed pushrods to golden rods and secured them every 4", couple degrees down thrust ,3 degrees right thrust and away we go, will hover, will go vertical as long as fuel in the tank, knife edge or knife edge loop,do not fly wide open with this set up ,it will flutter. Would I buy this plane again? Nope!!!Way to heavy, poor hardware, flexes to much, sorry wood and glue joints, the covering looks like a prune when the Texas sun shines on it,then when it cools down it gets tight and brittle, also some kind of stickey back covering.

the fun tiger ARC version is only $10 less than the ARF version? Maybe they should charge $10 for the ARC then we wouldn't have to deal with that crappy covering<GRIN>...Gator

Mine will knife edge only if I use max throw on the Rudder. Anything less does'nt do it. I have a .46LA on mine also. It will hover, and on a good day it will pull out. I had a ST .51 on it, but never got the engine to run right. Out of my 12-13 planes, my TT Extra is always ready to go. This plane has more flights on it then any other plane I have. It's not the best fun fly out there, but I still love this plane. It's one of my most dependable planes I have.
