You can get Jetex from davis desiel. Be warned the planes he sells fly great but he is a total jerk to talk to and Jetex is worthless and junk! IMHO get one of his glider kits and use an estes A engine built up with masking tape and launch away, they fly very well.

Thanks for the info. I have to ask though... what do you mean by "building up" an Estes engine with masking tape? I got a couple of great rocket glider plans from the "Scale Models" magazine I subscribe to from the U.K. I tried using an Estes "A" engine plugged with epoxy (didnt want the ejection charge) but the energy burst was to sudden and the heat burn't the tail off the glider. That explains my quest for Rapier engines.

First if you wish to eliminate the separation charge from an estes engine just use a flat bladed screwdriver and scrape away the first layer on the end opposite the nozzle, it is very easy you will notice a distinct layer under the black powder of the charge.
Second I used the clip from the Jetex motor mount and had to wind masking tape around the estes motor to get a tight fit in the clip. If you use a V-tail the thrust stream will go between them if it flies straight. I did my trimming with a spent motor BTW.
