good profile for TT 36?
Best I can think of is to get an OMP yak and built it very light, using light servos in the tail to balance the motor, but even then not sure I can get it down to 3.5 lbs.

You can. Hs 225 servos, hs 81 for throttle, 4oz tank, AAA NMH battery, slim 8 RX and CF gear. This is how I am going to build mine and put a Norvel .40 on it. Ultracote has a "lite film as well. Don't use a tailwheel just a skid. There were a couple things I was going to do to save weight during construction as well, but they may take away from the integrity of the plane, so I will not discuss that here. I think 3.5 LB is an easy weight to hit and your TT pro .36 will power it well.

I haven't got it yet, just heard that it was a good engine. I was going to use my Sato .40 origonally. I wounder if anyone else has had problems with the Norvell .40. A West .36 would scream also.

I have a TT 36 on a Menace from the kit made by Mark Shope. I don't know if he still makes the kit but if he does I strongly recommend it. It is very light and the 36 provides unlimited vertical. A real beauty.

How about a Taco? It's a little smaller, but the TT36 should pull it nicely. Do a search here for the Taco or check it out at www.swanyshouse.com. I have one with an OS 25FX and it's great! I've also seen it fly with an OS 40FP, so your engine should work fine.

My Taco had a TT pro .36 on it before I put the Sato .40 on it. It was stupid crazy ballistic. Never lost a vert drag race with that one. I still think the OMP YAK can be lightened up to work well with it though.

the FF Taco is over kill for the 36 but fun The Menace comes from the same kit cutter as the FF Taco and it's just a little bigger. I can do the same things with my Menace w/ OS sx 32 as My Taco w/ Saito 40
the longer I think you can't go wrong with either.

[link=http://morrishobbies.com/product_info.php?products_id=68]Morris Pen Knife[/link] with an 11x3 prop. With this combo, the thrust to weight will be nearly 3:1.

How about one of the older Northeast Aero profile warbird kits? Build fast, 50" wing, takes 25-40 engine, can make it as squirrelly as you want with control throws....................
