sirex wasp conrtol surface throws
I'm just finishing a sirex wasp from the cad plans and am wondering if anyone can tell me what they set their throws to? What I would like to do is set dual rates, the low setting for something tame.
thanks

I have the assembly/setup manual in Word format if you need it, but the CG is as follows:
Finished weight is Exactly 4Lb 1/2oz , It flies straight off the deck, no trimming required with all controls set at Neutral & CG 1/2" behind Spar at the location shown on the plan (No ballast was needed)

Thanks for the reply. I'm also interested in how much deflection the control surfaces should be set to. I don't want the plane to be too sensitive at low rates.

sirex wasp is a good plane I had one about 3 years ago. I really liked it. But I do think their are better profiles out there. Man it got some strange looks at my field when I brought it out.

I originally built the plane because it is my first one straight from a plan. Some of the features, the wing loading and airfoil ticked me so I built from the autocad plans. I later discovered the whole profile thing and, of course, you're correct about the other great planes out there. So many planes and so little time. I will try to get a picture posted in a few days.
