First MoJo 60 flight
Here in Eastern Indiana it was overcast misting ice and snow but my MoJo 60 needed a test flight. My MoJo has a Saito 100 /w 16 x 4 APC prop and 12 oz tank on the nose and 4 Hitec 945 on the control surfaces. 1650 5 cell NMH battery. I took off on low rates (one inch up down, left & right). Quick trim changes and she was flying straight wherever I pointed to. I clicked on high rate elevator (90 deg up & down full left right movement rudder) and elevator to spoilers started a elevator real smooth and slow desent. I added some throttle and harrier up right locked in at 30 deg. nose high then 50 deg. figure eights around the field 5' off the ground. This Mojo 60 is very stable and almost moves in slow motion! I pulled up and hovered and touched the tail right in front of me. I powered up and climbed slowly sky ward. Knife edge spin down to 25 feet. Recovered and did slow knife edge pass (I added a touch of down elevator). I returned to 35' above me and hovered and started doing repete waterfalls nice and tight. Brought the plane down infront of me to check the fuel level and hovered the MoJo started torque rolling so slow. It was like I had been flying this plane for a while. I went up again about 30' and started a rolling circle. The small MoJo does a nice rolling circle but this was slower and it made it look real easy. I did not loose any alitutide! After several harrier passes checking the fuel It was time to land. I harriered it right to the ground! First landing. My radio timer had 18 minutes and I had 2 or 3 oz's of fuel left. I could not beleive how confterable I was flying a brand new plane. I was using my 9C and all I did when I needed to program my MoJo60 I just copied my MoJo 40 program and only changed the throttle subtrim and kill switch settings.
This MoJo 60 is as easy to fly as my 12 oz foamies are. This was the best 100.00 dollars I've spent to date on a 3D plane. I'm going to try a 15 X 4 W APC prop. The Down side. I had to sell my Chevy Blazer and get a Chevy Ventura van because it would be real hard to stuff the MoJo 60 in the back of my Blazer! It would fit but there was not room for anything else. It was past time I got a good plane hauler anyway[8D]
Thanks to Paul Swanson first class kit and flying plane!

Cool glad you are enjoying your MOJO I just about got my MOJO 40 ready to fly and the 60 is next. i don't know why anybody would buy anything other than a Swany plane. They fly great and are built to take a beating. I already have the Taco and Burrito both great planes.

I wonder how long before the other manuf's will put a CF rod in there profile planes. Hint Hint Hint!!
Smacked My Burrito hard last time out and just had to glue one balsa crack. Ist time practiceing low 5 ft up powered out smacked at 1/2 throttle on saito 82 should have been much worse.

It wasn't long ago that I was complaining about the lack of 60 size profiles. Now I can complain about not being able to make my mind up between the Mojo, Katana 70, and the Ultimate. If you look hard enough there is always something to complain about.

And now we have to start saveing up cash for the future variable pitch prop inovations for 40 60 size :-) I hope that is the final answer darn it cant keep up.
But still hope Swany keeps going with designs/inovations. just need a second job to be able to keep the toy's coming.

I've got Swanys 40 size mojo and that rudder darn near made me wet my pants the first time I jumped on it. I can't say enough about how much I like it. The thing is just born to hover and play. Thanks Paul Swany

RE: First MoJo 60 flight
I've been flying my MoJo 60 for 2 + months and 5 gallons of fuel WOW! I burnt almost a gallon of fuel this weekend! My MoJo is at almost 6 lbs but with my Saito 100 I could care less. I have stuck with the APC 16X4 W prop. If you like 3D this is a very good choice. You just gotta love Swany's MoJo's!

Great looking Mojo!
I have built two Burritos, and hope the Mojo goes together just as quick. Because of limited storage space, I'm going to have to destroy one of my existing profiles before I build another. I feel confident that I'm up to the task.

How did you get that much throw (90 degrees). I have tried everything, longer servo arms, move everything to get maximum throw but i still cant get 90 degrees.

You know it might be 85 degrees I've never measured it but I can do Knife edge spins! I cut the opening on the fuselage below the carbon rod. I have large servo arms too!

Framing up my Mojo 60. Looking for CG recommendations; manual says to look on the plans, but I don't see it anywhere.
I plotted 35% MAC to 6-7/16" behind leading edge, but wondering what your experience is, you guys who are flying it.
I'm pretty sure I could just put everything where it most naturally goes, use a Saito 91 with APC prop & TruTurn spinner, and I bet it would fly pretty well even without putting it on the balancer.
I will add my compliments to Paul: this kit is really an outstanding job of model design.

The CG mark is on the plans under the fuselage portion. I have my CG set to 2" behind the main spar.... I don't find it to be overly pitch sensitive at this setting. The plans show a more conservative CG about 1/2" behind the spar....

Thanks Paul, I found it myself after I posted the above. My eyes are OK, but my brain goes out intermittently. Two inches behind main spar looks good to me, pretty close to what I was thinking of.
I know only fools fall in love with their models, but I haven't done anything foolish for several days now, and the temptation with this one is really strong.
