A guy at our field has one and it seems to be a fine engine. His engine doesn't shut down when the carb is closed (tower engines are known for this) but otherwise it runs fine.

I've got the Tower .40 which is no longer made. It does pretty good. The Tower .46 was noted for having a leaky crankshaft bearing and a lot of people complained about it. I would recommend going with OS engines. They are a few more dollars but well worth the cost. I have 3 OS 46 FX's and 1 OS 50 FX. The OS 46 FX's have many flights on them and I have never had a problem.
Just my 2 cents.

I've been flying a Tower .46 on a Fun 51 and a couple of Tower .40s on other planes. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Tower engine. My .46 doesn't shut down right away when I close the carb but both the .40s do. Over all they're good engines for the money. I can't see why the .75 would be any different in the quality department.

hello to all.this is my first post.does anyone have any comments on the tower hobbies .75 engine/im looking at putting it in a 4 star 60.thank you.HAWKMAN
