RE: RE: Big fun fly plane
Mine works OK with no problems, great throttle transition.
I have the g-51 and i had the gs-45, all were great engines with no problems and they are great value.
I using the perry pump on the 51 with great success and i will install one on the 3250, it gives even better throttle response.
Good to hear about the combo, i really like the OMP Edge.
Thanks.

Just got the Jerry Smith tuned pipe system for the OS 1.6. Has anyone experimented with cutting the header down, or is eveyone just using it full length?

Leave it just as is. Jerry tuned his pipe just for this header. I believe he includes an instruction sheet with it so stick exactly to what he says and you will be amazed.

RE: Ohio Model Edge 540 Giant Profile
Just flew my OMP Giant Edge w. mvvs2.15gas for the first time yesterday. I have a big pipe on it (not muffled) and it sounds like a dirt bike, and it flyes absolutely great. This is the first plane where on the maiden flight I did consecutive knife edge loops he he. Mine is a little tail heavy, but just the way I like it, needs down elevator and a little speed to land, flyed inverted without need of elevator input. I did a few violent walls and parachute, and the wing tube is still straight ha ha. When doing a fast wall it almost swaps ends and flyes backwards. Elevators were great, I put in a little spoileron, and I did a few harrier landings. All I need to do to it is balance it laterally. With the big mvvs and pipe on the right side of the fuse, it needs a bunch of lead on the leaft wing tip, it won't even spin left he he. I got just the right amount of right thrust in the engine, since hovering needed next to no rudder input, and uplines were very straight. I love this plane, I was comfortable with it from the first flight, she's a keeper.

Got the same setup as you! How bout that MVVS! Screamer!
What are you using? I've got Pro-Zinger 22-6.
Got pics of yours? Mine is right on the OMP GS Page at the bottom. Yellow one ... can't miss it!

The best way to bulk mount a ZDZ is like Vic did for the MOAP. He has a DA 50, but the ZDZ would mount the same.

RE: Big fun fly plane
Yes,I finally finished almost 1 year later.Ibought it at Joe Noll last year and got 3 trim flights prior to this Joe Noll and flew it there.I absolutely love it.I have big planes and 46 glow profiles so I have a few to compare it to.It has lots of power and came out tail heavy!!!!!Can you believe that.I put the servos in back naturally and moved the receiver back about halfway.I the put the rec. batt. about halfway also thinking the ZDZ 40 would make it nose heavy.I ended up leaving the rec. halfway where the std. servo leads for the E&R will plug in without extensions.I had to mount the ign. & rec. batteries in front ops each other to balance it.I don't see how it balances with a 160 on it.I made a simple flat plate on the front with triangle ply braces top and bottom.I had to cut a hole in the plate and part of the fuse for the rear carb to fit.I will be gone until next week.I will try to get some pics.I was worried that it would not float at 13 # but I cant hardly get it down.It is still a little tail heavy.I put carbon fiber main gears instead of the junk plastic(OMP swapped the old drilled out plastic ones for new better plastic ones at the Noll but they are unused.I am going to put carbon tail gear to lighten rear. Get the new ARF.BTY,the wings are so easy to put on.The wings were a little bit of a pain without rib tabs... Dave
