what do you guys have planned for this winter?
I have a morris knife which I will start soon and I will probably scratch a new Menace. I have used .32sx's on all my menaces but for the next one I will use a Webra speed .32 I just bought for the project.
for the knife I will use my 46fx.
Mousse exhaust on all funfly's
the only other plane I want is a bipe. since I will have two .32 sx's around I will probably go with the Hobby People Wacco .25 size bipe. I would like to have a DP Ultimate but I don't want to have to disassembel and assemble a plane like that each time I go flying. besides I'm too rough on my planes. they look nice and clean coming out of the box but that's where it ends. I do damage every where. in the hangar,in the car, and on pit row.
for the Wacco I basically have every thing I need and won't have to disassemble it to get to the field.
what about you???

my plans include
a Ace Simple Series Ultimate
Sig Fazer
Aerocommander Shrike twin
restoration of 2 Andrews Aeromaster Bipes
if I get those done I may try scratch building a twin engine plane of my own design.

It's not winter yet and I refuse to admit it's comming soon!!!
But... I'm going to finish my Aeron...
Then start on:
Sledge
Jerry's OutLaw Delta
Pro Twister
Extra 3.25
Modified Wasp - stick fuse with more side area
Sig Kobra
I'll be busy this winter..... I still gotta figure out how to get my building stuff upstairs so I don't have to build in the cold garage.... I've got a little space heater, but it doesn't cut it when the temp gets down below 25.....

I'm going to build my first kit. After flying Gator's Morris Gee Whiz Bee I have to have one so I'll start there. I think after I get past the box of sticks phase of things I'll feel better about it. I'm going to cover it like a standard Gee Bee but instead of the scallops on the wing and fuse I think I'll attempt a flame job. I know it's cliche but I think the flames would lend themselves to the Gee Bee scheme. Plus doesn't every man want flames on their ride....or is it just me?

I haven't decided on my winter project yet. I have an Irvine 150 looking for a home. I've been thinking of designing and scratch building an IMAA legal Ecstasy, but like I said, I haven't decided yet. I also have a 1/3rd scale Extra 300S started, but needs a motor to even think about starting it again. I know I am going to build me another Aeron. I 'dumb thumbed' mine the other week. It repairable, though this is not the first time that it has been repaired. So its time to build another. I also want to build an electric version of the PB Foil to play with in the front yard.
Paul, I've got a '57 Chevy in the garage. I call it my 'first wife'. It doesn't have flames, though it is available for the right price!

Winter, what's that??? Oh, that's when it rains once in a great while and I have to put on a long sleeve shirt in the morning to combat the cold.

Winter at RC stuff is going to be quiet around here. Something other than the dues went thru the roof when my AMA sotice showed up in the mail. I think I am going to have to find a pasture to fly in from now on.

My son and I are building two matching King Kobras and going to try some formation flying next spring. We'r going to try to make them as equal as possible and see what happens. We did some experimenting with formation take offs and landings, and found out soon that it would probably be easier with two equally matched planes.
As for winter, we close in part of our shelter and someone brings a kerosun heater to the field with them. Fly awhile and thaw out awhile. The first Sunday in January is our first event of the year-fly regardless of the weather. This year we had snow coming down and 9 flyers showed up! Those of us who didn't have skis had to shovel out a small runway to take off on. With two inches of snow on the rest of it, if you missed the spot, you had an abrupt stop! What a hobby!!

I'm currently working on a scaled down Miles Reed Challenger II bipe. The Oracle version. It is scaled down from the original 42% to 31%. Fuse is 99% done and the top wing is framed up. Not donating all my time, so it should last all winter. I've also got some stuff to repair
