Default SIG Ultimate Fun Fly Instructions

I recently bought this kit at auction and the instruction manual has an additional sheet of corrections: "Oops, I made a couple of mistakes on the first run of the ultimate kits" followed by Correction #2 and Correction #3.

Is there a Correction #1 that I am missing?

I always liked the idea of a profile bipe but no one else seems to like the plane.

Default You know why I think?

I think the reason folks might not be having so much fun with this profile bipe is that they are missing Correction #1

Here is "Correction #1"

"The yellow and gold decal (on decal sheet DKM-271A) for the left rear of the fusalage has the slot for the stabilizer in the wrong location! Provided in this kit is a remake of just that portion of the decal sheet. Please use this new piece for the left rear of the fusalage and throw out the old one."

It knife edges great ( and slow ). It hovers okay and does a beautiful toque roll. It does not do a good harrier at all. It does really violent snaps and will flat spin but looses altitude. Come on down to NC and I'll let you fly it....John

I had over 200 flights on my Ultimate fun fly untill it "bit it" flying inverted (pulled UP instead of DOWN!). I flew it with a supertigre G34 heli engine with my own paint can muffler, APC 11-3 prop. Tons of power, would climb easily out of a hover. I absolutely LOVED the plane. Nothing bad to say, it is just different than a regular profile, does some things better (any snapping manouvers were excellent, and Loncevaks were breathtaking) and some things worse, but so does every plane out there, nothing is "perfect".

I just bough another kit a few weeks ago and will build it this winter.

WHy you guys dislike them??

I just finished setting up mine that I bought used. Saito .56 for power so it not going to be a super powered but it looks cool. One of my flying buddies had one and I fell in love when I saw him fly it. Was going to build it but found a deal I could not pass up.
