Well i bought my bad boy v2 yesterday at a trade show and just started putting it together. is anyone flying this plane with a 46 ax? just wondering what kind of performance you were getting out of this motor/ plane combo. Im thinking down the road i will get a 4 stroke for it but for now im flying it with this setup.

You'll be fine with the AX. The vid of Tony Watkins was shot with a BB/AX combo and it proved enough engine to power the plane. Enjoy!

Look for some video of the BBs in action soon as Hooks, Mikey, Bradly and Myself plan on wringing out 4 different BBs next week. The YS 1.10 BB will maiden for the big screen.
Stay tuned.

we will see. The only issue i have with the plane is transporting it. It has two piece wings but it couldnt be more difficult to get them off and on with the reciever and all the servo wires running through the fuse into the wing to the reciever. It was also pretty difficult to get the servo wires through the fuse, the strings were all snagged and glued up and then there wasnt enough room to hardly fit the two servo extensions in there side by side. I modified the wing bolts by putting blind nuts on one side of the wing tabs and then just using metal screws and washers on the other. plane looks good the instruction manual that comes with them leaves something to be desired though. even though i could probably build a plane without looking its nice to have a good detailed manual to see exactly what they mean on certain steps.

I think the Sato .72 likes an APC 14X4W with 30% heli fuel. My YS .63 is a revver and spins the APC @ about 12,800 RPMs on 30%. You can't go wrong with a YS or Sato on this plane.

Oh an if your running a .72 use a 13x6 MA Scimatar. Killer combo.
I just ran an old magnum .52 on mine an it does great. If you got the change use a saito though, I just used it to prove you dont need $200 engines an $50 servos for something to fly well.
