Default What Eqpt For Extreme Flight Edge 540

I am looking to go for an Edge 540.
Can you tell me which servos to go for and decent Engine Choice.
I want this to be the ultimate hovering plane.

Regards

Peter,

Any good servo with 90 ozin of torque (or more) will do just fine.
I used a Saito .72 in mine. The newer Saito .82 would also be great. I have seen one fly with an OS .50 and that did well also.

IMHO 90 ounces is only needed for heavy heavy 3D. I really abuse my planes and have never had a blowback on any of the hitec standards. I use hs-475's they are great but if you want to pay more go with futaba 3010's

I run all standard servos on mine except for the rudder, I use a Hitec 635 on that surface. I have used a MVVS 49 and YS 63 on my two. I run 4 strokes almost exclusively now, so you can throw the Saito 72 or 82 on the front and that would be great also. I have flown this plane with both those motors and a Saito 100 on it (not recommended though) and it is fine. Any good powerful 45 - 50 two stroke will work. For great hovering I think you would be happiest with the Saito 82 and a 14 X 4 APC wide.
