OMP Fusion Diet
I put my 8 lb Fusion on a Diet! I had a Saito 120 S for power on my OMP Fusion and replaced it with a brand new Saito 125! I lost 12 oz in one shot.......I had 2 oz on the tail along with a 4.4 oz 5 cell battery next to the elevator servo in the tail to balance. Now without tail weight and the battery in the back of the wing the CG is 8 1/4 aft of the leading edge of the wing. I've run the motor over an hour with an APC 16X6 prop 15% cool power. I changed props to an APC 16X4 W and broke 10,000 RPM's with out leaning it out. I ordered a 17X4 APC W. I also added a Cline Regulator I have had sitting in a box. The weather looks like I'll have to weight until Sunday to test it out. This Fusion was great as a porker at 8 lbs.

RE: OMP Fusion Diet
Glad to hear this. I'm building a Fusion 90. It is a easy build is't it? Had it covered in less that two weeks. I have a 125 coming, but my LHS said it will probably be end of January before mine comes in, I think it will worth the wait. 17 x 4 is what I have on my OMP 65" and it works good. At 8 1/4 on your CG how does in fly inverted? Also, do you think I can beak it in on a 17 x 4?
Thanks
Danny

RE: OMP Fusion Diet
Danny, breaking in a Saito 125 was a piece of cake. I used a 16X6 and a 15X8 would have been better. Saito sends a instruction booklet! I'll have a flight report Sunday night. If the weather is any good on the First It will be a group report
