Default Best way to fix this?(broken fuse on su-do-khoi)

Hey guys. I have a morris su-do-khoi. The 46" wing version. I had a bit of a crash today due to the motor dying in a hover 20 ft. off the ground. Down she came, and even with full elevator she came in nose first, hard. What would be the best way to go about fixing this? Thanks.

If it is a foam fuse you could glue it back together with Gorilla glue and then touch up the sheeting on the fuse sides. Make sure you clamp it together nice and straight. If it is a built up fuse you will have to strip some of the sheeting off of the sides of the fuse and start piecing it back together and the touch up the sheeting. Just make sure you re-enforce all of the major structural repairs.

Use some 3/8" wide sticks lenthwise from one piece to the other piece. Make sure everything lines up well.... Glue the "splint" stick to one half of the fuse with thin CA. Then after you're happy with the fit with the other half, apply some poly glue to the sheeting and to the splint stick. Spray with a mist of water and press the halves together. Use some wax paper on the out side of the joint and use a long piece of 1" x 2" and clamp the fuse to this to make sure it cures straight.

Hope this helps.

Duck tape fixes anything.

After mine broke, I used two plywood "scabs" over the crack. Typically, you can CA the fuse together since the broken wood fits together like a puzzle. Then just glue the plywood over the joint on each side. About 1 1/2 inch wide 3/32" ply worked well for me. Not too heavy. Course then it just broke again a year later behind the original break. I did the same thing and am flying again. Plane looks a little lumpy but still flies great. Next time it breaks, I'm gonna by something from Swany's house !

Hey guys, thanks for all the info. I decided to rebuild from the inside out. Took me the evening last night. But she looks great, and is straight as a arrow. Now time to try and fix the covering. My only covering experience is on a rudder, and stabilizer, and it didnt look all that great. Wish me luck. Thanks again. [8D]
