What happened to the Webra .50?
Noone seems to have them on their websites any more... bummer. The have the 55, but it is heavier and much more expensive than the .50 was.
As an alternative, where can I buy an Irving .53?

Horizon sometimes lists backordered items as discontinued.

I recently got one from my LHS -- he ordered it from Horizon.

One of the guys at our field flies a Magic with a Webra 32 and it really hauls that Magic around. It rips! I can only imagine that the 50 has gobs of power....[X(]

The Irvine and the Webra are real close in power. I have better luck tuning the Webras, but others claim the opposite. There has been some recent discussion in the glow engine forums about the Irvine moving their manufacturing to China, but I have not been keeping up with it.

Don't you guys have any decent local hobby shops? (ie, the kind that you could just ASK for them to order the Webra 50?)
Horizon has very good shipping policies for dealers. My dealer orders from Horizon regularly and it's no big deal for him to order any item from Horizon and have it there a few days later.

Nope. I live in an area void of hobby shops. The only one around (where I buy my little Dubro stuff, etc...) is run out of a guy's house. Horizon will not sell to any dealers that do not have a bona-fide store front. Plus, based on where I live, I have to pay 15% tax on anything I buy locally. If I order it from out of the province, but within Canada, I pay 8%. If I order it from the elsewhere, I can usually get it without tax. There is a nicer hobby shop 1.5 hours away, but their prices are sky high, and I don't like their attitude. I'd rather order from people I know and like (TBM, Fromeco, TNT, etc...)
It's a pain building a 35% here... everything is through the mail.
Anyway, Horizon is out of them too... nobody has 'em.
I just got a really good deal from Just Engines in the UK on a Irving .53 w/o muffler. When you do all the conversions it works out to $98.50 shipped. I ordered a tower muffler (supposed to be awesome for 3D, plus it's light) for $14.50. Can't beat that with a stick.
