Bad Bay V2, and no wing tips?
Hey all,
I've damaged my wing tips on my V2 to the point I wonder if their even worth saving. I thought I read on here that some of you Bad Boy Bros took your wing tips off, but I cant find the thread. Anyway, will it have any affect at all with the BB? Are they there for a purpose or just looks. I'd like to get rid of them if all possible. Just was wondering if it would affect the flight at all. Like in a harrier or hover. Thanks !

Kaos,
Just remove the tips and cover over the ends. You can cap off the ends with thin balsa to clean everything off and then cover. The bad Boy will have a quicker and more axil roll rate with the tips gone so no worries.

Glad to hear, the wing tips will go. I was amazed how the clear covering on the BB hated my heat gun! After I hit some newly formed wrinkles on the wing it melted right through. Note to self...Use a iron! Looks like I'll be recovering the wings with some transparent red I have. Thanks for the replys.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one to realize that the transparent covering is a whole lot more sensitive than monokote. Burned a hole right through it when it didn't tension up. This caution should be in the manual. All BB owners - be careful.

If you want to add an additional measure of fun to your bad boy, remove the wing tips and add sill plates from leading edge of wing to just behind the trailing edge of the ailerons. Better Harriers, better H.A.K.E. Even better control in any menoever that stalls the wing...

Kaos,
The film PA uses is really light!! It streaches out nice and is easy to work with. Don't go higher than 110 deg on your Iron or heating gun. You can also get replacement covering for the BB, It's cheap compaired to the rest!
