Default Bad Boy bites DUST!

I was out in the back yard after dark enjoying a little stick time under the pole light. I think my rudder linkage came disconnected ( it was put on with no fuel tubing to hold it together) an I ended up taking an unexpected dirt nap.

It broke the fuse right in front of the tail where the 3 rear servos are. Didnt even crack the fuse behind the wing even though it flexed hard enough to leave marks where the ailerons gouged in. It still appears to be structually sound as well. One of the strongest built up fuses Ive saw.

I had to break my mojo out an fly a few more tanks to satisfy my thumbs. My BB actually hovers an TRs better then my mojo which is good in the back yard under a pole light.

i won't take part in the poll because fix it yourself is not on there. i think it would be a reletavely easy fix, so buying one would be a waste. certainly don't stomp it! it wasn't the planes fault so making the company replace it is out also. i'm real sorry bout you airplane though! hope you decide to fix it and fly it again

Nope fix it myself isnt going to be on there either.

Its fixable but would add a lot of weigh right in the tail.

Not planning to buy a new one.

Stomping is a past time in itself, you should try it sometime!

It wasnt the planes fault but William only lives a cpl miles up the road so he needs some abuse!

The plane will fly again only with a different fuse. William has some spare parts so Im scoring a fuse off of him an all will be well again.

I had one of the first planes that he sent out an its had a long useful life with a couple different moters etc, complete with doinkage an breakage. If you were at the FL probro you saw it fly with no vert stab or rudder. Its the toughest built up fuse plane Ive ever owned.

You need to include "Match" as an option.

Dan's new fuse/tailfeathers will be ready tonight....

He says he is going to fix the broken duse though. This plane has been beaten to death. It has been in service as a demo plane for almost a year and should be auctioned off on E-Bay as the toughest/best flying plane ever. It has seen three different motors, the rudder has been ripped out three times and the vertical stab has been broken off twice (both times he kept flying until the plane ran out of fuel and deadsticked in).

If he lets me retire the plane anytime soon, we are going to put it in a glass case and put it in the Carolina 3D/Copperhead hall of fame.

Tony,

I'm trying to score the trip to NADA!!!! Hope to make it and tip back some brews with you.

Speaking (again) of NADA.............

Is that what you guys use to appraise cars???? You guys really missed that 03 Neon the other night. It's a good thing I stold the deal from you cause you would have been about $1400 high in that trade.

Send your sales manager over to Honda Hill and I'll teach him how to hit a car. I'll even let him drive my S2000

On a side note.....

If you haven't voted on the rename Carolina 3D thread vote quick because we are going to close the contest early.

If you look closely at the pic you can see the tailless BB from a few mo ago. You know its true you dont need a rudder to hover?

I used it all up Taping the canopy onto the EF YAK the other day. It was getting late and we didn't want to maiden it in the dark. It was alot faster than screwing it in. Then, I threw what was left on the roll in the cockpit to balance the plane cause we didn't have the cowl on either.

Nice flying plane though.

sense this plane was a proto type and you were doing all the experiments with it you would think your good buddy bill would be glad to replace it for you, because bill didn't half to sacrifice his plane
