Does it make any difference if you balance a profile (say a Top Cap) inverted or right side up? Your views, thanks.

No it doesn't matter. If the plane wants to hang upside down or right side up. That would be the natural way to balance it. Most likely you'll hang it upside down.
I use a eye screw at the cg and balance it, with the plane hanging by a wire. You can fill the tank half full, that way you will not notice the wing tip tipping as much as the fuel level changes.

Heres what I do:
low wings inverted
high wings rightside up
...the GP balancer is a POS. there has to be a better way....Gator

Balance a plane, what the heck is that all about? You fly it, trim it, flip it inverted, if it pitches down, put some weight on the tail, if doesn't pitch, it's perfect, if it pitches up, it's a real funfly he he.
Actually, if your prop keeps getting smaller and smaller because the plane is a real heavy arsed pig to land, it might be a little tail heavy.
