Edge 540

NO, but I have one of Radical RC's Edge 540's. If you are looking for an electric that will do what they say it will, then the Radical Edge 540 is it. If you do not get nuts with the paint, it will tork roll. You can even knife edge loop.

Wayne,
That is so cool!!!
What Hacker and gearbox are you running in that Sukhoi?
Also what batteries are you using?
I've been playing around with the same idea.
I've cut some foam wings and I'm using a grafite 80lb. arrow with a foamboard profile to start with. I'm using MEC GTmotor and 6-1 gearbox with a 15x8 apc-e prop on 8-10 cell packs.

Turns out that this is the same Radical r/c plane. NESAIL is now offering them. I have had one for over a year, and I fly it just like Jason does on the website. I love it. I have a diamond 301 on it. With a 720 NMH pack nine cell. Again do not soak the paint on, you must keep it at 10 oz. Outdoors I fly with out the landing gear. They are dead weight.

I love this Plane. I fly it with the Astroflight 010 brushless and the 720nimh pack. I get over ten minutes of flight. This plane does it all. I can hover and t-roll for over 7 minutes straight with this motor. Have seen one with the Black Diamond and same battery, it had good power but did not last near as long. The brushless was way worth the money for me. It also does the prettiest rolling harriers I've ever seen. I can't do them yet, but a guy in our club does them with ease on my plane. Also a perfectly flat turning circle with no altitude loss and a diameter of about 4-5 feet. It's awesome.

I went to the site http://members.aol.com/davthacker/edge540.htm and the video link does not work. Go to the site and e-mail them and bug them to get the link fixed. It is a great plane video or not.

It's been a while but I think I paid ~$130 for the geared version with the variable speed control. Never wieghed it and don't know the ratio. It does pull vertical good and last a long time on the 8-cell 720nimh pack. Several people have bought one in my club after seeing mine fly. One guy even made a spad version based on it for a .10 size nitro engine. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I love that Sukhoi 31. I went to the web site, awesome video's!! Where did you get yours from? I understand it's "ARC" from foam and light balsa......... I've been wanting a good electric 3D flier, this looks like it may be it! I would greatly appreciate any more info (price, servo's, RX, where to but it) ect. Anymore pics?
Thanks in Advance!,
