I wanna get myself a profile
I'm interested in getting myself a .40 sized profile. Looks like my choices are between the any OMP profiles and the MOJO. My first concern is what engine has good 3D performance without paying too much money. It would be nice of yall to post your plane and plane setup so i can get an idea of what to get. Thanks

If you are on a budget, get a TT 46 Pro and standard servos. Both will work fine on the planes you listed. The Mojo comes out LIGHT, so the TT is plenty of power. Mine was 3lbs 12oz with the TT and Futaba 3004s with a micro servo for throttle.

Joebob nailed the setup. The TT 46 is one heck of a engine and standard servos will work with any of the 40 size profile.
If you are new to profiles and or 3D flying, OMP's Edge would be a perfect choice, if you have some stick time under your belt I would go with the Yak.

This is a Morris the knife with a 52 Magnum ,as a rule I dont get into ARF's but I got this one off ebay for 42.50 shipped brand new in box, thats way less than the kit.Anyway it hasnt seen the air yet but I have seen others just like it and it will do about anything a person could want.It has pull /pull on both the rudder and elevators.as soon as the weather permits we'll see what its got.

Tons of threads on engines but the best bang for the buck is the TT Pro .46 or GMS .47. I have run many of these hard and they perform every bit as good as the OS .46.

what about the Magnum 52? Its just a little more expensive than the TT on tower hobbies. are magnum engines any good? About how long does it take to build a mojo? I'm a freshman in highschool and have little time building except on the weekends.

Hey Chris, I've seen several of the Magnums, and IMO they don't transition well for 3D. They run good on top end, but that's not what you want for 3D. The TT 46 is waaaay better than the Magnum 52. An engine that has a lousy mid-range will delay and frustrate your attempts to learn 3D.

However , one must spend a little time massaging out the good in a mag..52 .
Fist , seal the carb to the engine.
then, drill out the muffler outlet 1 or 2 drillbit sizes bigger than the stock opening.
Put a larger pressure nipple for better fuel delivery.
I know , Why spend that much time?
To make it a short story. Mine throws a 13*4 APC wide with authority, and the 12.25*3.75 wide is nuts on punch out with this combo.
Plus , Are you on a budget? Most of us are.

Check out the "MOJO for dummies" thread on the profile brotherhood.com website. There you will find a step by step description of how to build a MOJO.
