After I get the thing flying.....Yes i will have a short kit. So far its looking like all the laser cut wood and the foam. All thats left is the 7 sticks and the 1/16 sheeting for the fuse. Ofcourse the hardware too.
Yes pro bros will get a discont. I cant say how much now but shouldnt be that much. If i had a contact for bulk wood and some orders i could get it all together.

mine will have starndard gear, micro throttle with a .25 plain bearing motor. The surfaces are 1/8 now but the rest will have 1/4. These are a little flimsy.
******WARNING******
This plane is bulit to fly, not crash!!!!!!!!!!
After i get some flight data i get to to stress test....hehehe.
its pretty thin right now. Just thought i would let you know.

Dennis...
I think it's a pretty cool rig. I'm also interested in the laser cutting thing.
Did you draw the laser templates and send to the cutter? And if so what software? Or if not, what did you send him to get this cut??
But whatever..it's a neat design, and I think the balsa/foam hybrid is a damn fine idea..

After i got the fuse done it was the same or lighter than the wing! The wing has no sheeting in it. I dont have a scale so im just going by feel. Plus i didnt put any lighten hole in the fuse.
Well....this plane will sit in the rafters. I had the radio and motor in it, and when i pick the plane up by the wing tips, the wing flexed 2 inch's. I spent most of today redrawing it. It will be a little heavyer but a lot stronger. I hope.
Ok last picture. Thanks for the complaments and i will try to get on the 2nd ver asap.

Not so fast!!!
Hey, don't give it up! Put some shear webs on the spar...that'll take the sag out. Put some 1/8" square balsa "X" braces in the rib bays..top front to bottom rear / bottom front to top rear of each bay , that'll make it a little more rigid and won't weigh much.
And I didn't know Autocad was what you used...I run Autocad 14 fairly well for being self taught (I have a great Autocad operator, but I taught myself in between drafters..)

the control surfaces where too flimsy and there was no room for the radio. The only way i could get the radio in was to cover it after the radio was in. Ofcourse there's no way to get the radio out, unless you uncover it. For sure the next one will fly. I think i nailed it.

Well for some reason i started working on it again. I put some sticks inbetween the ribs on the spar. Man that stiffen it up big time! Plus i made some foam control surfaces. Take a look and let me know what you think.
BTW...I got to wiegh it. Dig fish scale........11oz!!
Not bad for a gas ship.

I like cheap motors and have been looking at the gws stuff. They have some 1 lb thrust motor setups for $20. I think i can do some real damage in that area!!!! All foam plane like the 540 or the su31 but cheap. Its gotta 3D...so dont worry about that.
Ok thats enough babbling for now.

No....I was looking at the 300 and down sizes. gws has some real nice small stuff. I would start out with a 20 to 30 inch wing to see if it would 3d.
