Default Morris Profile Hots Engine

I'm in the Middle of a Morris Profile Hots Kit. I was planning to install one of the .46's I have laying around but I was wondering what other people have used on this plane. Anybody like (or not like) anything specific? alos, anyone built this kit and has any cautions or suggestions?

Thanks

You'll LOVE this plane. It's a wild child! I built one and used an OS .45FX. When I build another, I'm gonna use a Webra Speed .40 or .50. The Webra has gobs of power and the instant throttle response that you need in a plane like this one.

DR1 is right.....this is an awsome bird. But you should decide now what this bird is going to do. Do you want speed......or 3d? It will do both quite nicely.....but the powerplant is the key!

Enjoy

The Profile Hots is more of a 3D plane. It's built light and has LARGE control surfaces. I wouldn't want to fly it at full throttle for more than a few seconds (flutter possibility). It's a close-in type plane. It'll do 4' loops, no-roll takeoffs, rolls too fast to count, and figure eight touch-and-gos inside a large utility van.

I basically just want to use this as a fun-fly and try to get into 3D a little more. I have a couple fast planes so speed isn't really a goal here. Anyone ever use a 4-stroke on the Profile Hots? I was thinking about a 2-stroke .46 just because I have a couple on hand. Now I am thinking about a 4-stroke.

I think a 45's weight ruins a great flying plane. I flew mine with a TT.36, ST.34, PAW.35 diesel. Then on another hots, I had a TT.54 4stroke. They were all acceptable.
