RE: What happened to the Copperhead Stiffys??
Here are some pics of the extra. The build time on these has been reduced quite a bit. The wings are now 2 piece and slid together on wing joiners and are self aligning. The landing gear block is pre mounted and per drilled. The servo pockets are now pre cut as well cutting the building time in half. My all up weight with a heavy 1500 pack and spinner is 18oz. With the new stronger 1320's and no spinner the weight should be reduced quite a bit.
Cheers,
Tim

The extra looks very nice but are you going to still offer the red, yellow, black scheme the original sti-ffy was.
I expect the fuse to be much stronger but will I be able to cartwheel it on the ground with out damage to the wings as I have done countless times.[&:]

Brada,
No, we changed the graphics. We moved the scheme to the Woody. I flew mine the other day after a long winter lapse in flying. It held up well. lol See you in Ohio!

I see in my post the word s-t-i-f-f-y links to air--foilz.
What a crock. Just goes to prove my impressions of them I had posted a long time ago are correct.
Just a bunch of A-holes
You airfools people should be worried since the new Cooperhead planes are about to start shipping very soon.

I saw the new stiffy ( ignore the keyword link to the pretender) in Toledo.
The new design makes a great plane Fantastic. Copperhead out did themselves with this one.
The Extra Woody is on my list for a must have profile.
It was a pleasure to finally meet you and your wife Tim.

RE: What happened to the Copperhead Stiffys??
I wonder what happened? The first thought was that these new versions should be available by the end of Feb. Then they were supposed to be in by the end of March. April 1st I contacted Copperhead and was infomed that they were on the boat and should be available in several days. It's almost the end of April and no new updates on their web site. Don't you just love it?

RE: What happened to the Copperhead Stiffys??
Yup, international commerce is fun...
The first "batch" of Extras were due pretty much now, based on what Tim was describing in Toledo. There were supposed to be like 80, but somehow, the number shipped is like 63, or something like that. Those planes were in the container with the OMP planes. OMP ordered the Boxxers and the new Edge 540s as well.
I have seen the Boxxer page light up, and I'll go look for the rest.
Tim did mention that there were many, MANY backorders to fill, even some with vendors, and that the first batch might not even cover them all. We will have to wait and see...

I also just found out that Tim has been out of the office for health reasons all week. He was back Friday for a few hours, and will be back on track soon. Nothing major, just enough to take him away from work a while.
Things should get better now.

Did you actually check the link before you posted. They keyword does not link to Copperhead.
It links to a direct competitor.
Shame on RCU for allowing this type of hijacking of someone elses product name to link to an inferior product.
Here is the real deal

RE: What happened to the Copperhead Stiffys??
Yup, that's my point. A company owining a keyword pays for each click, so click away!
For the second time in a couple of months, someone has acquired a word easily associated with the Copperhead product, and had it lead to Airfoilz products. Desperation or lack of ethical guidance, I don't know...
RCU allowed the company name Copperhead Aviation last time as a keyword leading to the Airfoilz homepage. I doubt they will force the word stiffy back out of the keyword list. This appears to be a third party that selld Airfoilz.
At any rate, the REAL Copperhead Aviation Stiffy Extras should be in OH by now. This is very recent, so the container might not even have been opened yet. Back orders will be filled as quickly as possible, then new orders after that.

RE: What happened to the Copperhead Stiffys??
Word.
Some folks think you have to be unethical and sneaky to run a successful business.
Not true. Let your product sell itself. If it won't, then change it. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people buying planes all over the world. Please don't tell me that this back door sales tactic is the best way a person could think of to present a product to the buying public...
Vote with your wallets folks. Do you agree with this business practice? Then, by all means support this company. If you do not agree with this then click on the keyword stiffy as many times as your day allows, but do not buy a plane. when the keyword bill hits their credit card, they will rethink their way of doing business.
Here you go...
stiffy
If you would rather look at a product offered by a company for your consideration, based solely on it's own merit, it's :

RE: What happened to the Copperhead Stiffys??
Just remember though when you click on stiffys all those times you are sending money to this board which were the ones that enabled and sold the keyword in the first place which will only enhance their desire to sell to the highest bidder even more
