.25 Fun Fly
#2
I've got a .25la, but not on a funfly.
I did have it on a small plane weighing about 3lbs 2 oz. though. It would hang on the prop for a very short time.
I think you'd need to stay at 2.5 lbs or less to pull out of a hover with any authority with either motor. I'd try a 9x4 or even a 10x3 prop.

Thanks - Latch66!
Yes, the PBXL (Pizza Box with eXtra Lift) hovers great with a 25. Here is a pic of my latest one.
Check it out at http://www.hsrcm.com
There are movies of it flying, specs, and customer photos there.
I will be at the Perry, GA show Feb. 28th & Mar. 1st with kits, if you can make it.

HisHam - I don't thing a 25 LA would be quite enough to hover a taco... I think you could fly it no problem with a 25 LA, you could probably even hover it... I just don't think you'd have enough snot to pull out if you got into trouble...

I built a .25 size profile. Came out a 2.5 lbs. I have a bushing magnum .25 on it and it hovers. Not a ton of pull out but it will climb. Plus the motor is new. ( 3 tanks ) I think you could go to 3 lbs but not to much more.
Hope this helps

Thanks, but all I'm trying to find out is the hovering power of a FP.25, I'm building a flying saucer with 4 FP.25s and all up weight should be 7-7.5lbs. It looks like 4 FP.25s should fly it pretty good.
