I heard fron a RCU member that PARSON's sudsy ammonia works as accelerator when sprayed. costs about a buck for 28 oz's verses 3.99 for 2 oz's of acc. If it works we are all gonna be doing flips lol.

I have not heard of the ammonia thing but I will check that and let you know. It is true water will work, but not spraying it directly on the glue, that is too much. CA kicks off from the moisture in the wood, that is what makes it react so quickly. However, too much water and that is bad. I would not spray water as an accelerator, use the normal accelerator it is formulated to give the best results/strength if you must accelerate. Try to avoid accelerating your CA, it weakens it and never ever accelerate thin. I can supply more glue facts at [email protected] Jeff W.
