Default Sledge tail mod

Here is a picture of my Sledge tail mod. Jeff has flown my airplane, and decided to try the mod himself. Tom

Here is a picture of my re-drawn plans. I didn't use blocks or triangles in corners, but I like to drill where the counter balance "t's" to the elevator and insert a carbon fiber 1/16" rod. Tom

I put 1" elevator counterbalances on mine from the get go almost a year ago. From flying several of them I really dont think it made much difference.

Default Sledge

I don't know if the weight of my airplane at 3 lbs has anything to do with it, but this airplane will tumble and flip like a Top Cap. Each airplane is different, and it may have been the same with the stock elevator. When I build an other one it will have the same mod. Tom
