My profile has the CG fairly far back and it flys pretty nice, but I also have about 2 or 3 degrees of down elevator in level flight to keep it from climbing. Does this mean my CG is too far back or what?

It's realy pilot prefrence. I try to strike a balance to get it to fly as neutral as possible both level and inverted.

I do have to give just a touch of down elevator inverted, which is normal or just right I suppose. But then again, since I already have a couple of degrees of down elevator when upright, rolling inverted and adding more down seems it might be more than normal.

Just and idea but you might want to check you ailerons. If they are not aligned properly with the wing in nuetral you may be compensating for it with the elevator.
