Default Hey!

It don't look like every other Knife, now do it??!!<G>

Shoot Gator, you could use trash bags and goose feathers and it'd be killer. I've been wanting to try some tear aways, but haven't had the sack to do it on a plane......you give me hope!!

That covering job makes me want to grab a Pina Colada and dodge the coconuts that are going to fall off it.<GRIN>

Default aileron mod

Hey gator, I notice the outer end of the ailerons are modified. Looks good. How you flown others with this modification - does it still have plenty of response?

Tom & Hacker.....here is the link that chuck shared with us...look at post #77.....it just talks about useing the sharpie to outline the tear away....
Also Hacker.....you could do Flag on top/bottom and then vice-versa with the checkerboard...i have done that on several....G

I havent flown it with the aileron mods, i figure the ailerons are so big, I'd never be able to tell the difference. I dog-eared the tips to keep them from breaking when I doink it in hovering, Another mod i did was attach the vertical fin on the fuse to the rudder, so the whole rudder/fin moves., May put PRO BRO on the bottom of the wing, what do you think?. The PRO BRO stickers came from my buddy ULF...G

you know...your right. It does look like an astro POP...i think I should have used gray or silver for the edges of my tear-out instead of neon green.... I was afraid other colors wouldnt stand out against the trans yellow very well. oh well live and learn....G

Gator,

How does the sharpie marker standup to glow fuel. Do you have to put some clear covering over it to protect it?

I've been wanting to do some "band-aids" for where my Knife was broken in half. I just couldn't figure an easy way to make all the little "air holes" in the band-aid. The sharpie would do the trick!

Damn gator that looks sweet! The only thing is, it may just be me, is the red and the tail feathers. It just doesn't go w/ the other colors.

Scott, yes thats the knife....Scole, I'd have done the ailerons red too, but didnt have enough red covering.....that might have balanced it out a bit more
,RED/BLUE/YELLOW= the primary colors, but that dont mean they all go good together....G
