For a inexpensive 3D plane, which is a better choice a Magic or Magic Extra. I have an OS 52FS 46FX and 50SX available.

I have a Magic Extra with Saito 56 spinning a 13x4 prop and it is great. Built per specs with NIMH 720 battery weighs in at 4 pounds, 6 ounces.

Thanks for the replies. I take it the Magic Extra is better plane. What type of performance do you get from a Saito 56?

The engine is new - only 7 tanks of fuel. Turns the 13x4 graupner at 9700RPM. My son had it going vertical for quite a while and some high level hovering. We only have 3 flights on it so far. Needed NO trim changes. Can easily be assembled in a weekend. Took some cutting of the nose to gain access to the engine for needle adjustments and replacement of the mount with a Brown mount to fit the Saito.
