Default .32 Max Thrust Prop?

What's your favorite prop for maximum thrust on a .32 size engine?

I found a NIB OS .32 F and plan to put a mousse can on it.

What can I expect to get out of it (which prop, what RPM?)

I want to hover it around and hope to get 6-8 lbs of thrust. Is this too much to ask?

I don't want high forward speed, so thrust is everything.

I agree with Paul. The APC 10x4 works pretty good on my OS 32F. With a MCP, the OS 32F spins the APC 10x4 at 15,800 rpm. I never measured the static thrust, but it easily pulled my old 4 pound Stickit out of a vertical hover.

I've got an APC 11x3 on a TT 36 Pro and it's turning 13.300 with the stock muffler - no idea what a MCP would do. Pulls my Magic just fine.

APC 10/4, or an 11/3 work great on either a mac's pipe or mousse can. You can even run an 11/4 if you up your nitro (I was running 15%), or if the weather is right. This was on a 3 3/4lb plane.

You can also run a 9.5/6 or 9/6 prop if you wanna speed demon (not recommended for magics or slow funflies, unless you like to hear the sound of flutter......OLOL)

I have my .32sx and moosecan set to fly at 14,800 with a APC 10x4. It will pull my 3.5lb menace out of a hover like a TOC plane

Default .32 Max Thrust Prop?

If you can find one, Tai-Pan is a super 10x4 prop.
Works great on my Webra Speed .32 GT with M.can muffler.

Default 32 prop

I can't find a 10x4 prop here in Denver so I've been using a 10x5 on my 32sx. It pulls my 3lb 4oz menace out of hover straight up. Surprisingly, even at full throttle I get no flutter.

Default thanks everyone!

That's exactly what I wanted to know.

next challenge is to get my latest design to tip the scales around 3.5 lbs.

Bump up your fuel to 40% nitro and you'll have more power.

Default .32 Max Thrust Prop?

I bought my first Stickit from a club member several years ago. The plane had an OS 32 F w/ moose can. The prop on the Stickit was an APC 10X3. Now I'm flying a Smith Super Special with an OS SX 32 tuned pipe and an APC 10X3. This setup has worked well for me. I should try the other props listed above. The APC 10X3 has lots of pull. I'm interseted in hearing if anyone else has used an APC 10X3?

Default .32 Max Thrust Prop?

I would think a 10x3 on an OS 32 w/MCP would work great....maybe even better than the 10x4. But I've never tried one yet because the LHS doesn't stock APC 10x3 props.

I'm running an APC 10X3 on a Webra 28 on my PBF. Works great, but they break easy. I've ordered some Graupner 10X3's from Hobby Lobby - they take a little more "punishment"!

Default .32 Max Thrust Prop?

Interseting My LHS does not stock APC 10X3 props....I've had to ask the guy to special order me props every time I need them. I fly my Smith Extra Special almost every night. I think I want to try wood props. The APC keeps it's shape so well, can I expect the same from the wood? Is the wood just lighter? Faster spool up?
