Default Morris Sledge vs. OMP FF 540

Is there really much of a difference here or more of a personal choice?

Default Morris Sledge vs. OMP FF 540

there are quite a few threads on this very subject.

IMHO they were designed to do two different things but work so well that both of them kinda cross over and do them all well.

The sledge from what I know is geared more for 3D and deep stall stability.

The OMP edge is a little more on the wild side.

But again in the right hands both can do it all.

Besides the OMP costing half as much, and not coming with any hardware, there are flying differences. Basically the Sledge will fly 3D the best, while the OMP Edge will tumble and spin the best. Both will do just about every manuever, but the Sledge will do the real 3D stuff like Harriers, Elevators, and high alpha rolls much better than the OMP Edge....

So the Sledge comes with the hardware??
I want the best bang for the buck, since both seem to be well spoken of.
Now I am begining to have a change of heart........or maybe I will get both, just for the slight differences.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
What the heck.....I can always say Im sorry for getting 2 more planes but I just had to honey.

The OMP Edge doesn't come with hardware, but everything you need to finish it doesn't cost the $50 difference in price between it and the Sledge. I think the hardware I needed costs around $30 total.

The OMP sure is a lot of fun, but from what I've read, I don't think you can go wrong with either plane. Just do an eenie meenie minee moe and pick one.

I am building 3 morris sledges now. I havent flown either one but my buddy flew both. he said they both flew great.
I like morris planes and the morris sledge comes with excellent hardware including a du bro fuel tank and wheels! when is the last time you saw a kit come with tank and wheels?

Well I think I will end up with both sometime soon, but considering all the post's Ive read, and an e-mail a bro sent me, I think the first one is going to have to be the Sledge. ALL THINGS considered, it will give me the most bang for my dollar right now.
