Default Menace fuel tank mounting?

Ready to mount tank in my new Menace. With such little room on the nose, should the tank be mounted opposite the engine on the fuse or inside the wing?

Coyote, put the tank on the opposite side of the motor. You'll love the Menace!

Mount it on the opposite site of the motor. i use 3 oz tanks on menaces. i just use rubber bands to hold the tank into place.

Some people are mounting the tank inside the wing, sealing it in when mono/ultra coting. This is better looking, also less drag and Murphy's recipe for tank problems, do what Ryan said, opposite the engine, 3oz Hayes is perfect.

Here's how I did mine... Works great!! drill two 1/16" holes above and below the area where you want your tank. Thread two pieces of left over control rod into the holes. Bend a hook on the tank end and a 90 deg angle on the other end. put a piece of foam under the thank and wrap two #64 rubber bands around the tank.

The Menace Plus is a really cool Ultimate Fun Fly.... it'll do loops on its tail.. both inside and outside... 2-3 rolls per second... Hovers and harriers like a big dog.... Inverted and upright spins...

With standard radio gear and a .32 size motor it comes out to just over 3 lbs... That gives you a wing loading under 10 oz per sq. ft.!!!

You can order your menace kit from Mark Shope. You can reach Mark at [email protected] or (570) 769-2760. If you want to use your credit card or paypal account send me a PM.

Wing span is 44", cord is 16.5... Fuse has a carbon fiber tube down the middle of it.. All up weight is just a little over 3 lbs.
