Default Hinges

Which hinges work best with 4-5.5 lb profiles?
I have a Rad 330 with a saito 115 (at 8000' so have to upsize) and after about 15 flights with lots of KE (it KE's great) I noticed the rudder upper CA hinge was broken, lukily before the lower hinge departed also!

Should I use a different hinge or just add more of them???
thx
Gator

I am thinking that I might replace your hinges with some nylon hinges from Dubro. Good Luck, dave

I would agree with Dave.

CA hinges are fine but I never use them. I like the look of nylon or hinge points. They take a little longer but I have more confidence in them.

OK, I'll fess up.
I put 2 CA hinges in place of 1 and ultra coat seemed the control surfaces because that's all I had and I wanted to go flying.
sounds like I just bought time until the next failure!

pinned hinges are on the "wish list" so next order I'll do it right!

I like ca hinges. I use Radio South hinges (Tower has them), never had one fail other than due to a crash. I have them on Mojo 40, Mojo 60, Mojo 60moass. I installed power point hinges on a Mojo 65 and had them pull out on one aileron. I probably didn't install the right.
